Unfortunately, the extraction of a tooth or molar is sometimes unavoidable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t do it lightly, but sometimes there\u2019s no other option than to extract a tooth or molar. There can be various reasons for such an extraction. In most cases, the tooth or molar is too severely damaged. This can cause pain. Sometimes it\u2019s difficult to clean the molar properly\u2014something we often see with wisdom teeth. It may also be necessary to create space for an adjacent tooth or molar.<\/p>\n

Teeth are something to take good care of. That\u2019s why we only extract a tooth if there\u2019s truly no other solution. We determine this in part using X-rays. If it really is necessary, it can often be done the same day. Otherwise, we\u2019ll schedule a new appointment.<\/p>\n

Of course, we extract the tooth under local anesthesia, so you won\u2019t feel any pain at all. Sometimes we need to stitch the gums after the procedure. For this, we use dissolvable stitches.
\nAfter a tooth is extracted, an empty space will naturally be left in your mouth. Sometimes it\u2019s better\u2014or simply more aesthetic\u2014to fill that space. We\u2019ll advise you on the best way to do that.<\/p>\n
