Always wanted straight teeth but not keen on wearing braces for a long time? Then Clear Aligners are the perfect solution for you.
Clear aligners are transparent trays designed for (young) adults who want a simple adjustment in the alignment of their teeth. The treatment consists of a series of these clear braces, custom-made specifically for your treatment. You wear a new set of aligners each week. These aligners gradually shift your teeth, moving them step by step, week by week, into the desired position.
You will have regular check-ups so the dentist can ensure the treatment is progressing as planned. You must wear the aligners for at least 22 hours a day, meaning they should only be removed for eating and drinking. After that, you brush your teeth and put the trays back in immediately. In each phase of the treatment, only the teeth planned to move will be shifted. This makes the treatment precise and efficient.
The cost of braces is personalized and depends on the treatment required to move your teeth and molars into the desired position. To determine exactly what the possibilities are, a comprehensive examination is needed. This includes taking digital photos, X-rays, and a scan of your teeth.
Based on this information, we work together with the dental laboratory to create a personalized treatment plan. This plan outlines how many steps are needed to align your teeth and molars properly.
The treatment cost estimate includes, among others, the following cost items:
- Initial consultation
- Creation and evaluation of dental models and X-rays with analysis
- A one-time initial fee for placing the braces
- The technical costs (production costs)
- The monthly treatment fee: these are the check-ups to assess whether everything is progressing according to plan.
- The retainers to ensure that the position of the teeth is maintained after the treatment.
It is difficult to specify the exact cost of the treatment in advance. This depends on your dental condition and how well the aligners are worn. Additionally, the cost is influenced by the total duration of the treatment. On average, a treatment lasts from six months to one year.
We regularly schedule check-up appointments to monitor whether the treatment is progressing as planned. The frequency of these appointments depends on the treatment plan.
It is quite common for us to perform a procedure called “slicing,” where we gently file between the teeth to create space, allowing your teeth to move into the correct position. Another way to apply targeted pressure at certain points is by placing “attachments.” These are small, tooth-colored bumps made of filling material that are temporarily bonded to the teeth. They will be removed once the treatment is complete.
Depending on the duration of the treatment, the total costs can vary between €1500 and €3000.
The cost for creating the treatment plan is approximately €150. If you decide to proceed with the treatment, these costs will be included in the total budget.
