How does teeth whitening work?
Teeth whitening is not an invasive treatment. You’ll receive a custom tray and whitening gel, which you’ll use at home several times to whiten your teeth. Each time you wear the tray, your teeth will gradually become whiter.

As you get older, the dentin (the layer beneath your enamel) begins to discolor. Your teeth become less white, and you may even develop yellow or grayish teeth.

During the whitening process, the bleaching gel temporarily opens up the enamel. The bleaching agent (6% hydrogen peroxide) penetrates the tooth and breaks down the color molecules inside, restoring your teeth to their naturally white color.
