Gum treatments
Do you suffer from sensitive teeth or does your gums bleed easily? Do you notice that your teeth are starting to shift and do you have bad breath? All of these symptoms can indicate poor oral hygiene.
If you suffer from sensitive teeth or if your gums bleed easily, notice that your teeth are starting to shift, or have bad breath, these issues could indicate poor oral hygiene.
When we refer you to our dental hygienist, it doesn’t always mean you have a bad set of teeth. However, it is important for the dental hygienist to treat any discomfort to prevent further issues. Or better yet, to help you prevent conditions from developing through regular maintenance. So, preventive oral care is key. In these situations, visiting the dental hygienist is recommended:
- When a certain condition or disease affects the quality of your teeth and gums, or vice versa. For example, conditions like diabetes or heart disease can have a direct impact on your oral health.
- When you want to prevent sensitive tooth necks and receding or bleeding (inflamed) gums. Every set of teeth can experience these issues. Regular visits to a dental hygienist can help address and prevent these concerns.
- When you have cavities.
- When you have bad breath.
