To assess the quality of the care provided, this practice has undergone a visitation. This was carried out through the Royal Dutch Dental Association (KNMT), the professional association for dentists.

During a visitation, specially trained dentists review the practice. They look at:

• Whether the practice complies with laws and regulations;
• Whether the patient receives care according to quality standards.

After a visitation, a practice receives a report with an evaluation and recommendations. With this report in hand, the practice can continue to improve the quality of care it provides.
