Dental care for children
Baby teeth play an important role in the development of permanent teeth. That is why it is important to teach children early how to take care of their teeth.

The milk teeth play an important role in the development of permanent teeth. That is why it is important to teach children early on how to take care of their teeth. We advise you to take your child from 2 years old (as early as possible) to the dentist. We do not treat yet, but this way your child can get used to the dental visit in a playful way.
Children are more sensitive to cavities and tooth erosion than adults. This is because the enamel of a child's teeth has not yet fully hardened during the breakthrough. Therefore, we recommend that you come twice a year.
It may be that the dentist recommends an extra brushing, because your child is at extra risk of getting cavities. The dentist or dental hygienist can also opt for a fluoride treatment. Your child will then receive a gel smeared on the molars after which it may not be eaten or drunk for an hour.
Newly broken, permanent elements with deep grooves will be sealed. With sealing, the dentist can seal or seal (deep) grooves and pits in teeth and molars. This protects the teeth from cavities. The treatment is painless.
What can you tell before the visit?
Explain what there is to see. Tell them that your child may be allowed to sit on the chair for a while and that the dentist may want to look into his or her mouth. Stimulate curiosity. In any case, never tell your child that it is "not scary" or that your child "does not have to be afraid". We then ensure that your child has the most fun experience possible.
Compensation
The basic insurance currently reimburses all dental examinations and (almost all) operations for children aged 0 to 18 years, with the exception of crowns, bridges and orthodontics.
Does your child still find it exciting to come?
