Extractions

Unfortunately, pulling a tooth or molar can sometimes not be prevented.

We don't do it quickly, but sometimes there is no other option than to pull a tooth. There can be several reasons for such an extraction. In most cases, the tooth or molar is too severely affected. This can cause pain. Sometimes it is difficult to properly clean the molar; something we often see in wisdom teeth. It may also be that space is needed for the adjacent tooth.

Teeth are something to be careful of. That's why we only pull a tooth when there really is no other solution. We investigate this with x-rays, among other things. Is it really necessary? This can often be done the same day. Otherwise we will make a new appointment.

We will of course extract the tooth under anesthetic. You will therefore feel absolutely no pain. Sometimes we have to stitch the gums after the procedure. We use dissolvable sutures for this.
After extracting a tooth, an empty space naturally arises in your mouth. Sometimes it's better or just nicer to fill it up. We advise how best to do this.

Minor surgical procedures

The idea that surgical procedures are performed in a familiar environment gives you peace of mind.

You can also come to our practice for the following minor surgical procedures:

• Gingivectomy, removing excess gums
• Mucoperiosteal fold, The pulling (extraction) of a tooth in a difficult situation where the gums have to be moved to the side so that the dentist can better reach the tooth to be removed.
• the removal of wisdom teeth that only partially or not erupt
• removing damaged or loose teeth

Implants

Choose the best…

Sometimes teeth or molars need to be replaced. Every situation is unique in this regard.

Implants offer a beautiful and durable solution if an element is missing. With an implant, the natural tooth root is replaced by an artificial root, which is a type of screw that is placed in the jaw bone. A crown can then be screwed onto this artificial root.

Implants are also a good solution for problems with wearing a prosthesis where you experience pain or discomfort every day. The most common are two implants in the lower jaw to which a bar (metal bar) is attached. A “click” prosthesis will then be made on this. Because the prosthesis clicks on the bar, the prosthesis will be securely fastened and you will experience a high wearing comfort.
